KBShimmer ~ Tall Pink Of Water

KBShimmer ~ Tall Pink Of Water
Magenta/purple linear holo

Tall Pink of Water is a HHC Facegroup custom from February 2017. It’s a lovely strong looking holo in the bottle and I really hoped that all the holo goodness would transfer onto the nails. And it did! :D

The formula is good and it dries wicked fast. That means that you have to work fast and can’t go over the same spot too many times.

I used two coats for full opacity. I also applied a layer of topcoat.

So this is two coats and one layer of topcoat taken with flash:

Aren’t those rainbows just amazing? I love them!

Here’s the same thing in the lightbox, no flash. I still love the colour.

I wore it like this for two reasons: It was late and I didn’t want to mess around with nail art plus it’s a lovely looking polish on its own.

Tall Pink of Water was limited edition and is no longer available. That’s a shame!

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Wicked fast
Finish: Strong linear holo
Overall impression: I would date this polish – I love everything about it :D

Superchic Lacquer ~ Hypothermia

Superchic Lacquer ~ Hypothermia
Periwinkle blue linear holo with sparks of icy silver and gold duo-chrome reflects

It’s time for a Superchic manicure! :D

Hypothermia is a beautiful periwinkle blue linear holo with added sparks. I love it!

The formula is good and Hypothermia is a true one coater. I applied two coats that because I prefer it that way. The drying time is super fast!

The stamp I used is from BP-L 003 and I stamped with El Corazón’s stamping polish Restless Night.

This is the final mani, including a layer of Moyra’s stamping topcoat. The picture is taken in the sun.

The sun went behind a cloud so I snapped this picture. No direct sun but lots of clear daylight. I love the colour of Hypothermia.

Here it is on its own. Two coats, no topcoat.

This is the stuff I used for my manicure. The stamping plate could easily be one of my favourites. There are so many cool designs on it and it just works like a charm!

I love this, it’s just what I felt like wearing!

Number of coats: 2, but it is a true one coater
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Linear holo
Overall impression: Great polish, cool colour and effect, nice quality

Flormar ~ Rooftop Party & Victory of Black

Flormar ~ Rooftop Party & Victory of Black
Magenta and black crème

A kitchen sink mani is where all the nails are different. I really like kitchen sink manis and especially if you make your manicure look like a whole by making the colours match or fit together.

Today I used two different Flormar polishes from their Full Color collection: Rooftop Party and Victory of black. Both polishes are two coaters and both polishes have a good drying time.

I also used a silver glitter striper from L. A. Colors’ Art Deco series. It’s been a while since I used a “real striper”. I usually use my regular polishes with a thin brush when I want to make stripes. I may have to go through my box of stripers and see if some of them needs to go to a more appreciative home :D

The pinkie is two layers of Rooftop Party, stripes are made with the black Victory of Black and the silver striper.
The ring finger is a gradient with Rooftop Party and Victory of Black
The middle finger is two coats of the black Victory of Black with a spider decoration attached.
The pointer is two layers of Rooftop Party, and then a leopard pattern made with the two other polishes.

There is a layer of topcoat to protect it all.

Here are the three polishes I used.

I hope you like kitchen sink manis as much as I do :D

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Pretty good
Finish: crème
Overall impression: Good polishes at a good price. Definitely recommendable
